Region 9 Stakeholders Meeting
This meeting is free for all those with a stake in protecting the public from unnecessary exposure to radon in their homes, schools and businesses. The meeting is hosted by University of Nevada Cooperative Extension’s Nevada Radon Education Program and the Conference of Radiation Control Program Directors (CRCPD), in collaboration with the Nevada Nurses Association (NNA), the U.S. EPA Region 9 office and the Nevada Division of Public and Behavioral Health. The meeting will bring interested stakeholders together to discuss common issues, provide insight into future radon risk-reduction action, share perspectives, educate and network. Keynote speaker is Wallace Akerley MD, Sr. Director of Community Oncology Research at Huntsman Cancer Institute and Professor of Medicine in the Oncology Division at the University of Utah.
Radon industry attendees will receive 4 hours of Category II CE credits. Nursing CEUs pending
