Committee Structures and Formation:

Volunteers to represent the vantage point of each stakeholder group are goals administered through the AARST Standards Management Committee (SMC). Where more than two individuals volunteer for a seat, the SMC evaluates competing nominees to determine a final committee roster. Outreach for unfilled seats will continue beyond published deadlines.

All seats are officially open:

  • Non-voting Chair (Please specify if you volunteer for this position)
  • Mitigation professionals
  • Measurement professionals
  • Educators
  • Home inspectors
  • Private proficiency programs
  • Health Officials (Non-Government)
    • State government program participation (both non-regulated and those with radon regulations). Coordination through CRCPD is encouraged and welcomed.
    • Federal government participation coordinated through each agency.
    • Additional seats that may be specific to each project:
        • Manufacturers,
        • Consumer Advocates,
        • Real Estate Professionals,
        • Other governmental or non-governmental stakeholders.

At a minimum, monthly conference calls plus personal review and contributions to proposed text are typical workloads for any committee volunteers. The full projects extend until completion.

We appreciate you support for this important work.
