SIRG Needs Assessment
State Indoor Radon Grant (SIRG) Needs Assessment Questionnaire Results
A quick overview by Bruce Snead, National Radon Program Services at Kansas State University
This information was presented at the National Conference on October 15. I wanted to share it here for those who weren’t able to attend. I have also attached a PDF summary of the entire assessment. From my perspective, it paints a dire consequence of about 80 percent of SIRG programs being eliminated if SIRG funding is stopped.
Purpose of the Assessment:
- Intended to gather the specific needs of state radon programs if SIRG were not included in the 2013 Fiscal Budget.
- Identifying gaps in state radon programs that may result is a critical step to ensuring these issues are addressed in the most effective way possible.
