Connecticut Webinar on Radon and Interventions for Healthcare Providers

On May 16, 2019, the Healthy Homes Webinar, “Radon: The Leading Environmental Cause of Cancer Mortality” was presented free of charge to attendees. The webinar discussed how to reduce health risks from radon.

Dr. Bill Field, internationally know expert on radon, shared the latest research as well as the new guide, Reducing the Risk from Radon: Information and Interventions for Healthcare Providers. The training webinar was one hour in length. Eight attendees provided ratings of 5 stars (62.5%) and 4 stars (25%).

The webinar was presented as part of the Connecticut Department of Public Health Radon Program’s efforts to promote radon awareness, testing, mitigation, and radon-resistant new construction throughout the state in order to reduce the number of radon-induced lung cancer deaths in Connecticut.
