29th Annual Radon Training and Other Special Announcements from Colorado

Hi Everyone,

On behalf of the CRCPD E25 Committee on Radon, I am thrilled to make a few special announcements.

• In an effort to let you "get to know" us, we have attached a document with all of our biographies and photos. Stop us and introduce yourself in Denver. If you are a member of radonleaders.org, please log in to see the documents. Others may contact me for information at the address given at the end of this article.

• Registration and hotel information is now available for the 29th Annual CRCPD National Radon Training Conference in Denver, Colorado, September 9-11, 2019 at https://www.crcpd.org/events/EventDetails.aspx?id=1194740 Be sure to register for the conference on this site! You will also notice that we have two concurrent BTC trainings on Wednesday afternoon to choose from. Both are guaranteed to be fun and educational! We hope to see you there!

• Unfortunately, due to new grant restrictions, CRCPD will no longer be able to host any "night out" events. Fortunately for us, the American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists (AARST) has kindly offered to let us and our spouses participate in their pre-conference courses and social events at this year's symposium. To view a list and register for the AARST pre-conference courses go to https://internationalradonsymposium.org/education/ Information on the AARST social events is attached.

• Everyone who works on the National Conference of State Legislators (NCSL) Radon Booth would like to thank those of you who took the time to review your fact sheets and the 19 radon states who updated theirs. Your quick responses were greatly appreciated. You can find all the fact sheets (50 states and DOC) here: https://sosradon.org/state-fact-sheets If you have any changes to your state radon fact sheet in the future, please send them to Bruce Snead, KSU at bsnead@ksu.edu

• The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is hosting another radon webinar titled "Protecting workers from radon – experiences from Austria" on July 30, 2019. Registration is open on their website at https://www.iaea.org/resources/webinar/protecting-workers-from-radon-experiences-from-austria

See you in Denver!
