Many of the radon old timers will certainly remember Syd Porter as apast AARST president and wonderful advocate for increasing the
professionalism of the radon industry. Syd has been involved with
radiation his whole career. He was incharge of all the monitoring at
Three Mile Island after the accident. He is still active and teaching
at 75 years of youth. About three weeks ago Syd was in a car accident
and it caused a stroke. He has lost the use of his left side but is
actively working on re-gaining it. He is presently in therapy at Bryn
Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital getting therapy. Syd has a cell phone
as well as a room phone. He still has use of his right arm and is
