Not to take away focus on the recent discussion regarding the Safety Siren (I would like to see the issues publicly aired out), I have created (using GIS) a figure of the US based on the 1991 national ambient radon study (this was discussed in a Mar. 19 posting to the radon listserv). I have inset both the USGS and USEPA radon maps for comparison. There are several disparities. The data and map are based on a single result (average of 4 quarterly measurements) for one site in each state from the national ambient radon study.
