Dear Colleagues,I am forwarding a message concerning any data or insights anyone may
have concerning indoor radon concentrations in rammed earth houses
compared to conventional stick-built houses..
If you have some insights, please reply to both the list as well as
Christopher Bell
Thanks,
Bill

Dear Chris,
I not aware of any meaningful survey data on radon concentrations in
rammed earth homes versus conventional stick-built homes but I am going
to post your question on the RadonProfessional listserv and see what we
might find. Based upon my understanding of Iowa soils and indoor radon
concentrations, I would suspect that indoor radon concentrations would
be higher in rammed earth houses compared to stick-built houses in the
same area.
I believe there are some data from adobe houses on Native American lands
in the SW U.S. but I am unsure if there is any comparative stick-built
housing data.
