National Radon Action Month 2012 Results
Thanks to National Radon Action Month (NRAM) partners, 2012 was one of our most successful years!
For NRAM 2012, a total of 2,848 unique activities were reported, which is a 26 percent increase from 2011. This increase in activity is mainly in the areas of outreach to schools, facilities and organizations/unions, as well as radon proclamations signed by elected officials. All of the activities lead to continued risk-reducing actions throughout the year. We are even closer to the goal of spreading National Radon Action Month participation to every state and region across the country, as 31 states and all 10 EPA regions participated in NRAM 2012. This year’s reported results included activities with start dates from October 2011 through February 2012.
